No Alcohol Challenge: Conclusion

It was tough. But I did it. No booze for a solid week. It was fucking tough not having a beer with my chicken kabobs, or a cocktail at the bar, but I gritted my teeth and ordered iced tea with pack effing sweet n low.

How was I rewarded, you ask? I was rewarded with a 1.6 pound weight loss this week! Pretty good, huh?

I will be celebrating with weekend trip to L.A. and a stout gin an tonic.

Goal for the week. #1

Since breaking down and rejoining weight watchers a month ago, I have lost a whopping THREE POUNDS. I know it’s better than nothing but I was hoping to be down at least 7 pounds at this point. Alas, I’ve got no one to blame but myself. I mean, no one forced me to go to taco bell at 2 am…

At the good ole’ WW meetings, we’re encouraged to make weekly goals for ourselves. I’ve never actually done this, but considering my minimal weight loss, I’m going to give it a go. Looking back at the past month, I’ve made some very poor choices, a lot of unnecessary eating out, not exercising quite enough, etc… But what is really setting me back is booooooze. So my goal for this week is NO ALCOHOL.

After a weekend of significant alcohol abuse, I’m actually pretty excited. Will it help me drop a couple of pounds? Maybe not but I am certain my body will appreciate it regardless.
